Blankface, creators of the hit movie Lapua 1976, are announcing their new film HÄYHÄ – an ambitious war drama telling the story of the legendary Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä.
Simo Häyhä (a.k.a. The White Death) etched his name in history during the Finnish Winter War of 1939-1940 between Finland and the Soviet Union. November 30th marks the 85th anniversary of the outbreak of the war. That is the day the Soviet Union invaded Finland without declaring war in 1939. The movie is set to be released in early 2027, and will be directed by Toni Kurkimäki.
